All gateways are equipped with Real Time Clock.

Battery backup

Most of the gateways are equipped with an internal battery backup for RTC.

It ensures the correct date and time even in the event of power outage. Once started the device is instantly ready to collect the data and execute programmed tasks. Gateways without a battery backup have to first acquire connection and synchronize the RTC with a server.

Programmable actions

Date and time provided by RTC can be used in programmable actions.
